Here's pictures of the second week of Ian's little life! His Granny left after a wonderful week with us. Our time with her was precious. Sarah Moore stopped by Friday afternoon for a quick visit. Ian had his first official bath. With Beau back at work, it was hard finding time for Ian's first official bath because I insisted it had to be documented on video! Mac and Mimi came to visit Ian at home for the first time. Danny, Jessica, and Baby Kate also came to meet Ian. And the Muckleroys stopped by for a visit.
We had Ian's pictures made when he was 10 days old! Mika, from Beau's Business Networking Group, came to our house and took some great pictures! I will share them with you as soon as I get them in! We took Ian on his first outing, to Chili's for dinner. He slept in his carrier the whole time. His Grammie came to help this week. She cooked our favorites, roast and brisket, and Ian's Pappaw came and ate with us. Grammie also helped with the cleaning.
Ian had his two-week checkup with his doctor where he weighed 8 lbs 8.25 oz, not up to his birth weight yet. Dr. Dickey wanted him to come back in a week to check his weight.
On Wednesday, we were blessed with the beginning of our baby meals our Sunday School class provides. Anique and Brooks Morley brought us the best soup I think I have ever tasted, White Chili!!! We will be getting the recipe for sure! And Ian had his first snow this week. We documented it on video but forgot to take pictures with the camera. It wasn't a very impressive snow, but it was his first snow nonetheless!
Ian started smiling this week. He has the sweetest smile! They were not prompted by anything we did, just random sweet little smiles! He also came to love his SwaddleMe blanket this week. If Ian isn't hungry, doesn't need his diaper changed, more than likely he wants to be swaddled in his special blanket!
Ian seemed to start developing somewhat of a sleeping pattern at night. He would sleep from 10:00 to 2:00 and then wake up to eat. And then from there it was different as far as when he'd wake up. But we were able to get a good four hours of sleep to start out the night. He seemed to really enjoy his bath time. And Grammie spent lots of time holding Ian and loving him!
And that's Ian's second week of life!
