Ian loved everything about his first trip to the ocean!!! He wasn't afraid of the water one bit! As soon as we got there, his Uncle Cole took him out in the water to enjoy the waves! Grammy and Papaw helped Ian ride the waves on a float! But in his daddy's arms turned out to be the best place to experience the waves!
One funny thing. At times when we were taking a break from the water up by our little shade area on the beach, Ian would take off running towards the water with reckless abandon! As soon as he got to the water, he would turn to see if anybody had followed him! At first, one of us would jump up and take off after him as if his life were in immediate danger. After a while, we saw that we had plenty of time to catch him. It became kind of game for Ian! A pretty cute game I must say!
And when we weren't in the water, we played in the sand! Beau and Ian spent some time exploring the sand right by the water. Cole built a pyramid that turned out really good! Papaw dug a tunnel that he could put his entire foot and part of his leg in. Grammy would make a mold using one of the sand toys, and Ian would quickly destroy it! We brought some fun sand toys to play with. Ian had fun bringing the toys to us from where he had been playing with them! He made several trips!
Our trip to the ocean was such a treat!!! It wouldn't have been near the treat it was if it weren't for Grammy!!! She was one prepared Grammy!!! We had a wonderful little shade to sit under when we needed a break from the sun, and we had plenty of drinks and snacks to enjoy! Her planning definitely extended our time spent at the ocean by a bunch! Thank you, Grammy!
We're already looking forward to our next trip to the ocean!!!!!
