Casting Crowns Concert & Texas Rangers Baseball Game

At the end of May, we went with our Sunday School class to the Rangers Ballpark In Arlington for a pre-game Casting Crowns concert featuring the amazing movement of *I Am Second followed by a fantastic Texas Rangers baseball game! The concert was awesome! Casting Crowns is our favorite Christian band. There were so many people there we ended up watching the concert from the third-story walkway inside the ballpark. It actually was the best place to be! You could see everything. We were in the shade. And most importantly, Ian got to run off some energy by walking up and down the walkway, which he thoroughly enjoyed!

After grabbing some $1.50 hot dogs and eating, we made our way to our seats. It had been a hot day, but by game time, the sun was making its way down and the evening turned out to be wonderfully comfortable! We enjoyed watching the game as well as the dot race, the fireworks after home runs, winning free tacos from Taco Bell, and, of course, the wave!

Ian did remarkably well at his first Texas Rangers baseball game! We just knew he'd be done after about two or three innings, but our big boy lasted the entire game!!!!! Luckily, he had run so much energy off before the game that he was quite tired and peaceful the rest of the night sitting in Beau's lap most of the time just watching everything going on around him. Just in case, we brought with us books and a few small toys he checked out. And what's a special occasion without special treats?! Ian devoured lots of candy and lots of coke!!!!

We were so proud of Ian!!!! Not only did he get to enjoy the day's festivities but we did as well!!!! It was an awesome time with great friends and our wonderful little family!!!!!

*Our pastor at FBC Euless, John Meador, is featured on I Am Second. Take a moment, if you haven't already, and check out the site where you'll find amazing testimonies of people who found purpose for their lives and how you can as well.
